Greetings!
The holiday season is upon us. It seems that many people this year are not feeling the holiday spirit the way they usually
do. That could very well be the result of a combination of some pretty heavy transits we are currently under plus
the fact that 2007 is a number 9 year--a year of endings. People seem to be feeling blah, gloomy or downright depressed,
Perhaps this is a year for smaller more intimate, low key holiday celebrations. The good news is that 2008 will be a
number 1 year -- a year for new beginnings. Woo hoo!

Saturn...Lord of Karma
|
 Saturn, the karmic teacher, stationed Retrograde today, December 19th at eight degrees of Virgo. Those of us
with planets at or near eight degrees of the mutable signs (Virgo, Pisces, Sagittarius and Gemini) have been getting a real
dose of Saturn's life lessons.
We have been feeling Saturn energy in the weeks leading up to this station.
Saturn rules hard work,discipline, limitation and restriction. Because Saturn rules time, his retrogradation often makes us
feel stuck, like we are dragging our feet through mud and as if nothing is moving, which can lead some to a feeling of depression.
In reality things are moving...just ever so slowly. The houses Saturn is currently
affecting in your horoscope, along with any planets being aspected by him, show where you are learning new life lessons.
When a planet goes retrograde its energy turns inward. The affairs of the house in your chart currently being transited by
Saturn, is where you will likely be doing some introspection over the next four and a half months.
The tarot card
ruled by Saturn is the "World". Seems ironic that a planet with such a bad reputation would be associated with one of the
most beautiful cards in the deck. This shows Saturn's most positive attributes because Saturn also governs structure
and literal manifestation in the 3D world. You see he's not bad, he can just seem heavy. The fact that the World
card is given to Saturn shows that when you are willing to do the work necessary you will indeed manifest everything the world
has to offer. So remember that and hang in there!

Mars Update
|
 As
many of you noted from my last newsletter, I mentioned that mid November through the end of January might be a particularly
difficult period for some, especially those who have Sun, Moon or rising sign in Cancer. Well that includes yours truly as
my sun sign is Cancer.
Just a couple of days after my last newsletter went out, right on the day of the retrograde
station as a matter-of-fact, I found myself hit with quite a large dose of Mars energy. It was the Thursday before Thanksgiving
and Mars - god of war, anger, aggression who's color is red and rules heat and flame - decided it was time to wreak
havoc with your favorite astrologer (not to mention her neighbors too).
In the Tarot, Mars rules the card known
as the "Tower". And on the day of that Mars station I practically lived the event much like those two individuals depicted
in the scene on the card. Okay I didn't get thrown from a high structure as a flash of lightening blew the top off of it,
however as a result of a firebombing to the botanica that was directly below my next door neighbor's apartment, I found myself
getting my cat into his carrier as quickly as possible (those of you who own cats know this is not an easy feat especially
when you are in panic mode). I then went running down a smoke filled stairwell, carrying my 15 lb cat, not knowing what
I would find
once I reached the door (if it would be aflame or what). Luckily we
were unharmed and everyone in the building got out okay.

Fortunately my apartment received minimal damage. I just know the high vibrational beings that I work with
must have been taken part in saving my space and protecting us.

me a place to stay in their home if I needed (you know who you are ;)), to those of you who came for healing and spent some
of your time listening to me talk about my stuff, when you were the ones coming for a session.
