Pluto in Capricorn
Well here we are, Pluto right on the cusp of Capicorn, yet still in the
very
last degree of Sagittarius. Those with planets or angles in the last degree of Sag, are really in the thick of it right
now as are those with planets at the end of Gemini, Virgo and Pisces.
Pluto takes 248 years to complete its orbit around the sun. He stays
in a sign anywhere from 12-25 years. Being god of the underworld
and ruling over death and rebirth there is always a theme of dying and a new birth in the area he is affecting - especially
noticed when he first
enters a new sign. I refer you to Michael Lutin's comments on You Tube from back
in January.
Capricorn is the sign of structure, achievement, what is old and established. Ruled by Saturn the planet of 3-D reality, timing,
hard work and such. What ever Pluto touches goes through a cycle of death and rebirth. Pluto's time through Capricorn
promises that the next 15 years will be a time of breaking down old existing structures (this may be literal or metaphoric)
and building up of new ones.

Uranus opposes Saturn
To add to the changes mentioned above, we are also at the beginning of a 2-½ year transit of
Uranus opposing Saturn (Capricorn's ruling planet!). As ruler of Capricorn, Saturn is associated with that which is old and
solid. Uranus is the complete opposite being associated with what is new and inventive. Uranus transits can have
an element of surprise and/or hope. Uranus rules the sign Aquarius - associated with the Star in tarot - a symbol of
hope! In mythology Uranus and Saturn were enemies. So now is a time when that which is old, tried and true is
going to be at odds with what is new and revolutionary.
Due to direct and retrograde motions of the planets there
will times when this alignment is tighter - which means it will be felt strongly, and with other periods when the planets
move away from one another giving us times of relief, lessening the tension. The first exact hit was on Nov 4 - Election Day!
We certainly did
see a breaking away from traditional structures that day didnt we?! Not only did Barrack Obaba, a
democrat win the election after 8 years of G.W. Bush, but also the first ever African
American president was elected. This happened only 150 years after the abolition of
slavery - quite Uranian! I see this as a great time in American history and an opportunity for healing this
country's collective pain body.

On
the Changes Ahead
Here are some very insightful words from my dear friend Yuk Yee Li-Downs
regarding the upcoming changes.
"It's as if collectively we've all managed to float a big lie. And in floating
the lie it's kept us all distracted from looking at the essentials. We didn't have to examine ourselves very closely.
But now things are coming to a boil and we're at a critical moment where, individually, I think we will be pushed to decide
what's essential and what is extraneous in our lives, what has real value and what is a nonessential, and make some choices.
And collectively, I think, there is a possibility that people will come together in groups or in countries and form new social
contracts, new rules of interaction - hopefully based on more realizations, more insight from a global perspective.
This sounds very Utopian - and it probably will not materialize exactly like that, but I think if enough people did go through
their individual processes of self-examination a point may be reached where there is a collective drive or impetus, like 'Hey,
If we did have a chance to start over again, let's not do things out of fear and greed. Let's decide a social contract
based on different values'. And that's the hope. The possibility of rebuilding on a new foundation. It may or
may not happen but I think we're being pushed to the brink of a dissolution of structures that have been in existence for
a very long time and we have a chance to reconstruct in a new way, on a higher level."
